Kodak announced today that it will no longer make digital cameras, pocket video cameras and digital picture frames.
Founded in 1880, Kodak was the leader in photography products until the 80s when strong Japanese competition struck, and since then, it has never been able to keep up, according to CBS.
Kodak filed for bankruptcy protection last month and plans to phase out the product lines in the first half of this year. It will instead license its brand to other companies to to build those products.

It has been sad to see the fall of Kodak. It seems that their digital cameras and digital frames were not profitable enough for such a big company. I rarely see people using Kodak cameras, especially since there are so many point and shoot camera competitors.
