Wireless carrier AT&T recently raised the price of upgrading to a new cellphone, according to The New York Times.
Customers will pay the one-time $36 fee in addition to the cost of the phone itself. AT&T is raising the price because of the complexity of today’s cellphones. Sprint also raised its upgrade fee to $36 in September last year.
