In response to complaints with reception problems from iPhone 4 users, Apple is promising to pay $15 or give a free case to those who experienced the problems, according to the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal. This new settlement is aimed to alleviate those users who were not satisfied by Apple’s initial response, when complaints were first made, with a limited time offer of a free rubber case.
The iPhone 4, which was released in June 2010, sparked the “antennagate” and brought class action lawsuits against Apple. Apple plans to send emails to the nearly 21 million eligible users who can receive their $15 if they respond within 120 days, reports the Business Journal.
