taco 300x227 Taco Bell Gets Ready to Test Expanded, Upgraded MenuStatic sales in 2011 has led Taco Bell to start testing an expanded, more upscale menu that’s main focus is fresh ingredients — black beans, cilantro rice and grilled corn salsa.

America’s No. 1 Mexican fast-food chain will begin testing the menu on January 26 in Louisville, Kentucky, and Bakersfield, California, according to Yahoo News. It’s basically being described as a slightly cheaper version of Chipotle ($5 for taco bell’s new tacos & bowls compared to Chipotle’s which cost around $8).

If the new menu is a hit, you could see it at all Taco Bell’s U.S. restaurants by the end of the year.
