The ever-expanding Starbucks is looking to open a new juice-concept retail chain, reports USA Today.
On Thursday, Starbucks bought Evolution Fresh, a small West Coast company specializing in premium juices (all which are squeezed by hand), for $30 million.
Starbucks hopes to open a few test stores on the West Coast by mid-2012 to market Evolution Fresh juices and other health foods. Also look for the juice line in Starbucks retail locations, as well as in major grocery stores.
Will Starbucks be able to dominate the juice market like it does with coffee?
