tablet large 150x150 Barnes and Noble Unveils Details on New TabletOn Monday, Barnes and Noble unveiled details on its new device, the Nook Tablet, which it hopes will battle the iPad and Amazon’s new Kindle Fire.

The Nook Tablet runs on Wi-Fi, has a 7-inch display, allows for web browsing, email, and has the ability to play HD movies. Another neat feature is the “Nook Newstand” that allows users to subscribe to periodicals. It comes with 16 GB of memory, twice that of the Kindle Fire.

It will retail for $249 and should be on store shelves by the end of next week.
