living social 150x150 Whole Foods Deal Sets New Record for LivingSocialLivingSocial set a record with a deal for Wholefoods on Tuesday. The daily deals business offered $20 in groceries for $10, reports the Statesman.

The nationwide grocery deal was a first for LivingSocial, as well as Whole Foods, and set a record with 115,000 deals sold an hour.

As an added bonus, Whole Foods pledged to donate 5 percent of the sale price to its Whole Kids Foundation, emphasizing healthy eating education in schools.

By 3 p.m. Tuesday, LivingSocial had sold 820,000 deals.
