With multiple “check-in” apps like Foursquare and Facebook, what does it take to stand out in the crowd? The new re-fashioned Gowalla App has found the key, according to TechCrunch.
Instead of just allowing users to check-in to a location, Gowalla features “clusters,” which show who’s hanging out with who. Users can also upload pictures to their check-in, and talk to other users in their cluster, which become “stories.”
If users are looking for tips on where to go and what to see in certain locations, they can select the “Guides” tab. Not only can users see guides for their current location, but also those in other locations.
As a bonus, all of this information can be shared via Facebook and Twitter.
