OnStar’s Privacy in Question

Branding pictures 241 150x150 OnStars Privacy in QuestionGeneral Motors Co. is under a little fire as a third Senate Democrat questioned why the company continues to collect data from its drivers that have canceled their OnStar service unless they ask GM not to do so, according to the Detroit News.

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., requested that the FTC investigate OnStar’s new policy of tracking drivers with GPS — even after customers have canceled services.
