Looking for local recommendations? Try the new and improved Alfred app for the iPad and iPhone, suggests TechCrunch.
The app is highly integrated with Facebook, keeping track of users’ check-ins and likes on the social network site, and in turn recommends places to eat, see, etc. Once a place is tracked by Alfred by way of Facebook, users can rate it with a “thumbs” up or down. In addition, Alfred plots all recommendations on Google Maps.
Eventually, Alfred will integrate with Twitter and Foursquare as well. The app will also recommend local deals as well through sites such as Groupon and Living Social.
