H&R Block Drops Refund Anticipation Loans

money large 150x150 H&R Block Drops Refund Anticipation LoansTax preparer H&R Block announced today that it will not offer the popular refund anticipation loans during the coming tax season.

It didn’t offer them last tax season either because regulators told the bank financing the loans to stop doing so, according to Bizjournals.com. The loans were popular when the IRS took up to 8 weeks to give refunds, but that time has decreased to an estimated two weeks or less for 2012.
