GM’s OnStar Unit will be soon running a pilot program that will allow parents to track the real-time location of their teens when they are driving, according to the Detroit News.
Parents will be able to login to a GM website and view a map with the vehicle’s exact location at any time. Test messages and email alerts will also be available.
Another program GM is considering is ‘Speed Alert’ where parents would receive a text alert when a teen driver went above the speed limit.
Is this a service you would consider using?
