Credit card use is on a national decline.

According to the Atlanta Business Journal, credit card use slowed in July and many electronic payment companies are reporting slowed dollar volume growth on credit cards. Overall year-over-year dollar volume growth has taken a sharp decline in the previous months. High-end consumers are limiting their credit spending due to uncertainty of the economic climate.
