computer 150x150 Latest Facebook Scam Involves Video Calling FeatureFacebook and Skype are teaming up and offering video calls from your Facebook page. While this new feature, with its heightened popularity, will attract new users, it will also be the perfect setting for scammers.

According to Mashable, a new Facebook scam will come in the form of a wall post asking you to click on the link to “Enable video calls.” Do not click on that link.

If you do happen to click on the link, it will ask for access to your basic information, ultimately giving it permission to post on your wall and to obtain your personal data at any time. When all is said and done, you will be left video-less.

Facebook Video Calling is, in fact, on its way and already available to some users. If you haven’t been granted access, you will be soon. In the meantime, proceed with caution before clicking on any suspicious links.
