The diversification of the telecom giant, AT&T, has looked to have paid off. Strong smartphone sales and a solid increase in wireless subscribers accounts for the 2.2 percent year-on-year revenue increase for the company.
AT&T sold 5.6 million smartphones and also added 1.1 million new wireless subscribers, according to Mashable. However, this is not all due to iPhone sales…the company has doubled sales of Android and other smartphones, which account for 40 percent of all smartphone sales in the quarter.
