Fast-food restaurants are turning to alcohol to drum up more revenue. Two Sonic restaurants in South Florida will soon be selling beer and wine, according to USA Today. Burger King has also started selling beer at ‘Whopper Bars’ in Kansas City, Las Vegas and Miami.
The move is a result of a tough economy and chains are looking to boost sales during typically slow evenings. Critics believe it will lead to more drinking and driving.
