Complaint I contacted Casey Tree Experts the second week in July and asked you if you had a licensed arborist that could provide me with a legal report about one of my trees that had been damaged (severely spiked) by my neighbors contractor. Casey Tree Experts gave me the name and phone number of *** ******* (XXX-XXX-XXXX).I talked to *** on the phone and explained what had happened to my tree and asked if he could provide a professional report about the damages to my tree. I told *** he needed to explain in the report why it is NEVER expectable to spike a healthy tree and what the long term problems that can and will occur over time. I also wanted a replacement cost for this tree. *** agreed he could provide a professional report which would reflect my needs for the sum of $150.00.On July 19,2013 *** ******* arrived at my house and looked at the damages to my tree and I told him yet again what I needed in the professional report so I could forward this to my insurance company. No pictures were taken. *** agreed to do so and said he would have the report completed within a week. A week had passed and still no report so I called *** and he said he needed to get a picture of the tree placement from ****** and would have the report ready in a few days. A few more days passed and still no report so I called *** again and he said his son was going into the army that day and was off work and the next day he was off work and would not able to finish the report until the following week.On August 1, 2013 I received an email attachment from Casey Tree Experts containing 3 VERY brief sentences about my tree and a bill for $150.00. The picture he provided me was a picture from ****** **** ********** taken in over 5 years ago in 2008 from the front of my house in the street where one couldnt determine real placement or the condition of the tree..I could get this picture myself very easily! Pictures were NOT taken of the spike marks on my tree. His state arborist license is also NOT on listed on the report. This is by no means a professional report nor did it include the information I had talked to *** about on the phone and in person. This is a pathetic excuse for the service I asked for and what you said you would provide. Please send a real licensed arborist out here immediately to fulfill your obligations and I will then pay for your service. As I told your company before time is of essence. Otherwise I will open up a dispute with the better business bureau. If for some reason you cant provide this service then you need to cancel my invoice ASAP in writing. The information in the table below represents an industry comparison of businesses which are of the same relative size. This is based on BBB's database of businesses located in Metro Atlanta, Athens and NE Georgia. Businesses may engage in more than one type of business. The percent of time the business engages in a type of business is not accounted for. There is no known industry standard for the number of complaints a business can expect. The volume of business and number of transactions may have a bearing on the number of complaints received by BBB.
BBB records show the issues raised in the complaint have been resolved. Either customer confirmed the complaint has been resolved, or business confirmed the complaint has been resolved and customer did not respond to BBB correspondence informing customer that complaint will be considered resolved unless BBB hears otherwise from customer.
BBB found business made good faith effort to resolve complaint but customer not satisfied with business response
BBB found that business adequately addressed the disputed issues and made a good faith effort to resolve them; however, customer has informed BBB that he/she is not satisfied with the outcome. In some cases, business may have agreed to mediate or arbitrate the complaint but customer declined to participate in mediation/arbitration.
Customer not satisfied with business response; BBB did not find business made good faith effort to resolve complaint
BBB did not find that business adequately addressed the disputed issues and made a good faith effort to resolve them, and customer has informed BBB that he/she is not satisfied with the outcome. In some cases, customer may have agreed to mediate or arbitrate the complaint but business declined to participate in mediation/arbitration.
BBB did not receive a response from business
BBB did not receive a response from business after two attempts to contact business, and BBB communications with customer do not show that business contacted customer to resolve the complaint.
BBB cannot process complaint
This includes situations where BBB cannot locate business, business is no longer in business, or business is in bankruptcy and complaints must be submitted through bankruptcy trustee.
Your complaint will be forwarded to the company within two business days. The company will be asked to respond within 14 days, and if a response is not received, a second request will be made.
