Complaint
Poor service regarding utilizing this company for property management. Did not follow through on agreed upon inspections and service.
They did not perform property inspections as stated in property management agreement. Informed us that the tenant would be moving out in November when in fact they moved out in October. They Initially tried to place blame on the tenant, however it was the incompetence and poor communication of ***** where she was agreeing to one thing with the tenant and telling us the property owners something different. They informed us that because the tenant moved out early she had to forfeit the deposit to cover the november payment as well as cleanup and repair costs. When tenant threatened to take them to court to get her deposit back they all of a sudden changed their story saying they knew she was leaving and we would not receive the November rent/deposit. The house was also left filthy with some damage that we cannot get them to refund to us even though per move out inspection and agreements money is owed to us.

Desired Settlement
Initially we were to receive the full deposit per Magnolia One, which is the desired outcome, however would be willing to settle for half for expedience as they have drug this out for far too long. Half would be around $500.

Business Response
In response to the complaint filed by ******** ********, we have worked it out with the owner and paid her part of the security deposit. We hate to have any unhappy clients but unfortunately we have them from time to time. The tenant was in the process of buying a home and because of the government shutdown there was some confusion on if she was going to be able to close on time or not. Things did work out but for her but it did leave some confusion on her 30 day notice on her move out date. We have resolved this with the owner and do apologize for any problems this may have caused for them.

The complaint was actually not resolved satisfactorily. We just gave up dealing with this company as they were so terrible to deal with. If I had the time and patience I would be taking them to court. They also falsified a document stating they "winterized " the home and emptied a gas water heater, when the home is actually all electric and then turned around and charged a fee for the "winterization" that was actually never done. They even tried to say the "contractor" who winterized the home talked to my husband, but there was zero contact. As it turns out the "contractor" is the husband of the agent. This is a very shady company indeed. I hope no one chooses to do business with this company in the future.


Business Response
Again I apologize to the owner for any problems this situation may have caused her. We always had the best of intentions for everyone involved. There was nothing we could do about the government shut down and the confusion that it caused. Also, we did winterize the owners house even though we were mistaken about the water heater being electric instead of gas, it still needed to be drained. Yes, the agent's husband does a lot of work for us and only charged $25. We have been in business for over 10 years and manage over 300 properties. If we were a shady company I am sure we would not be in business at this point. I have a very good rating with BBB and will not let one person's opinion change that. She had a great tenant that always paid on time and should count her blessings for that. Again I am sorry for what happened.
