Complaint
IN April 2014 Hectors Painting did son repair work on our fence, I just took over as President of the ********** HOA July 1st 2014. I was looking at some of the repairs that were made on HOA fence. I notice that the quote was 480.00 Was for 3 post and straiten 1 section of fence. I inspected the fence and found that only 2 post were replaced. When u replace the 2 post that will straighten the fence, WE were overcharged for this project, Hectors painting did not deliver, we were charged for 3post plus labor for 3 post , only 2 post installed.

Desired Settlement
WE think we are entitled to 160.00 refund, if you divide 3 post by 480.00 this comes to 160.00 for 1 post and labor. Only 2 post were installed.

Business Response
Back in April, we were contacted by **** **** who was the president of the Home Owner's Association at the time.
**** let us know that the neighborhood fence was in need of repair because it was crooked at one section. We agreed that we would straighten the fence out. This was the goal of the contract between Hector's Painting and **** ****. Nevertheless, Mrs. **** also mentioned to us that it may take about three posts to straighten the fence. At this time, we instructed the carpenters that the instructions for the job were to straighten the fence. However, we did add replacing 3 wood posts to the estimate and only ended up replacing 2 wood posts. But again, the goal was straightening the fence using 2"x4", stakes, posts, concrete, screws, or any means necessary.

I have paper work showing that they were going to replace 3 post at 480.00 they only replaced 2 post, I feel they owe us 160.00 for labor and cost of post. divide 3 into 480.00 that comes to 160.00

Final Business Response
First off, I would like to say that I am extremely sorry that this misunderstanding has arisen.
We had not asked for any money up front because we try to make sure the customer is completely satisfied before we touch on any subject of payment. Once the job was finished, we sent the invoice and allowed the HOA board time to review the work to make sure everything had been completed to satisfaction before we went forth with any payment. **** let us know everything looked great and she was happy with the results. At this point, the transaction and contract was finalized.
In early July, the new president of the HOA, James ******, contacted us inquiring about the three posts mentioned on the estimate. We had made no contract or had talks with Mr. ****** about the project before this. We explained to him as stated above, that we were there to straighten the fence. After this talk with Mr. ******, we are at the current situation.
I, Hector ******, president of Hector's Painting, would like to say that at no point was I trying to deceive or take advantage of **** **** or the ***** **** Community. Our goal with every job is to make sure that the customer is completely satisfied with the work and customer service. However, if **** deems that Mr. ****** is entitled to the reimbursement that he is asking for, we will honor the request.
We, here at Hector's Painting, hope that this matter may be resolved with as little conflict as possible.
Have a blessed day,
Hector ******
President of Hector's Painting, Inc.
