Complaint Category: Failure to correct billing errors
Complaint: We brought a ring to the store because I lost a sapphire stone when the posts holding it in broke. The owner looked at the ring and stated that he would have to order stones to show us as he did not have any in stock. Before he could order the stones he stated that he would need a $50 deposit which we gave him by allowing him to charge a credit card. He stated he would return the money if we did not pick a stone replacement with him. We went to two more jewelry stores in Snellville and neither one asked for a deposit in order to get stones on consignment for us to look at when they arrived. When we looked at the sapphires that A&J Jewelers brought in there were two stones and both had flaws in the stone. The owner then stated he would obtain some additional stones. We returned a second time and found that the sapphires were still not acceptable. We then went to one of the other jewelry stores in Snellville and purchased the sapphire we selected at that store.
