Complaint
I had my 1989 Camaro RS towed to Days, in 2013. I requested to have a new cluster, ignition switch & key in order for my car to be operable. After repairs I was told that it was ready but I needed to have it towed to my residents, because it still would not crank. So I did, after several days of trying to crank it, it finally started. Two weeks later the chip in d key in order to crank the car, feel out of the key. So I had towed back to Days, to be told 2 months later it was ready and again it was going to be towed. This time nothing was done, but over all of this I was charged over $1200 dollars. So I tried resolving this matter with Mr. ******** He said it was done by a third party. I told him if I wanted someone else to do it , I wouldn't took it to Days.i then talked to talked to the service manager (Mr. ****** . He said the same thing Mr. ******* said. t

Desired Settlement
Please refund my money for a job that I chose Days Chevrolet to do when a third party did with negative results Day's has a 100 percent guaranteed customer satisfaction.

Business Response
First and foremost, Day's Chevrolet has been family owned and operated since 1959. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us and is what this company was built on. The fact of the matter, is that the repair was actually done on 8/26/2011, not in 2013. The reason that Day's Chevrolet outsourced the repair, is that being a 1989 model, we did not have access to Geniune GM parts for the repair. This was communicated to Mr. ******* and even says it on his invoice. Being that is has been over 2 1/2 years since the repair has been done, there is not warranty on the repair and especially a "refund." Mr. *******'s request are unreasonable and unfortunately Day's Chevrolet cannot offer to do the repair given the fact that we cannot get GM parts for the repair. Our records also indicate that Mr. ******* paid Day's $512.50, not the $1200 he claims.
There is nothing else Day's Chevrolet can offer Mr. ******* at this time.
