3rd time with same company trying to get a repair. Spent more money than fridge is worth due to missiagnosing first time, two weeks my icr maker was hanging off wall of freezer laying in ice bucket where didnt use correct screws, 3rd time new ice maker with guy saying 1st visit if they had done that qst wouldnt have had a broken auger motor, today. Same say after he leaves, a nauseous chemical smell fills fridge . Call thrm again. One week and 4th visit. Guys comes, opens fridge door, chemical smell so bad and he tells me he smells ORANGES!! Smell is CHEMICAL NOT ORANGES. then he proceeds to tell me he cannot smell things since covid. #1. No mask. #2 comes out to investigate smell and has no sense of smell, #3 last 3 people here no longer works there (even within last two weeks when here last, and #4 each time you have to wait a 4 HR WINDOW appt., and #5 I asked him to leave. I have just had enough of these people!!

The tech that visited the first time and diagnosed the necessary auger motor (which was found to be stripped) in the unit (Nov 2020) was also the most recent tech to visit due to your complaint of a strange odor (which was found to be rotted fruit, nothing from our workmanship, as the icemaker is working correctly). The screws used for the auger motor were correct, but had come loose, which was corrected at no charge to you, where ice maker was still found to be in working order. (5/2021). On July 27, 2021 you called about your icemaker again, this time finding that the entire ice maker needed to be replaced. If the auger motor wasn't needed in Nov, you would not have had ice from Nov to the end of July. There were two different issues and you were charged as such. Regarding the Covid allegations, you were screaming at him wondering why he was blaming the rotted fruit and he explained that "I even had Covid and lost some sense of smell, but I can certainly smell those rotten oranges, for sure". So at no point did he tell you that he had no sense of smell. And for the record, two of the techs are no longer here. Not 3. Again, you were not misdiagnosed in November 2020, otherwise you would not have had ice from November to nearly August.

There are comments in here that are "supposedly made by the technician" that are totally untrue. There were NO rotten oranges. The oranges he saw were just purchased from Kroger down the road 2 days prior. I had taken everything out of my fridge as well to check PRIOR to this call as I certainly did everything I could to try and investigage "why" this chemical gas smell was coming out of my fridge. There were NO signs of rotting fruits. I had just purchased tangerines that were in my bottom crisper. He NEVER not once put a mask on his face even ever telling me he had had COVID while also telling me he lost his sense of taste and smell. I "do not" appreciate reading this stuff that never was said or happened. He never said this 'AT ALL": "I even had Covid and lost some sense of smell, but I can certainly smell those rotten oranges, for sure". Check your facts and he sure "did" say that to me and in turn I said "what do you mean you cannot smell that? I can smell it all the way across the room!"
