The mission of the Better Business Bureau of Arkansas Education Foundation, Inc., Arkansas Center for Character Ethics (CCE) is to serve the community as a provider of ethics research, training and best practice recognition in Arkansas.

The CCE was formed in August, 2011 to support the activities, services, and mission of the Better Business Bureau of Arkansas, Inc., to encourage the highest standards of business ethics and conduct by providing business education and providing guidance concerning marketplace behavior and to foster a marketplace where consumers and businesses can have confidence they will be treated with honesty and fairness.

Funding for CCE programs and services come from sponsorships from Arkansas business' and individuals who share and support the CCE and BBB’s mission in promoting ethical business practices in Arkansas.

BBB Education Foundation Programs and Services

Center for Character Ethics Programs: 
Laws of Life Essay Contest - A statewide competition for High school students to write about what “laws” they believe are important to live by - principles such as courage, perseverance, forgiveness, and honesty. The best student essays from local “Laws of Life Essay Contests” are recognized and rewarded with CASH AWARDS to students and their organizers. This contest is based on 20 UnCommonSense principles which focus on change through interpersonal relationships built on honesty and mutual respect.

EthicalEnterprising - The EthicalEnterprising Survey is available for leaders to benchmark and assess their progress leveraging the BBB Center for Character Ethics’ tools. This employee survey is designed and field-tested for participants to measure their organization’s ethical culture. The survey is a confidential, quick, easy, low-cost way for organizations to gain a diagnosis and determine next steps for building a trust-advancing culture. Employees complete the survey anonymously in about 15 minutes. The responses are shared in aggregate, highlighting both areas for celebration and improvement.

BBB Torch Awards for Ethics - The Torch Awards for Ethics, a national award-winning “educate & recognize” program, is the premier public recognition of organizations that intentionally pursue the six TRUST! Principles of EthicalEnterprising. Torch Award alumni benefit from ongoing program support and partner with the BBB to showcase and share their organization’s best practices on the web to inspire others to join the quest for optimal enterprising.

BBB Programs:
Secure Your ID Day - In conjunction with Cintas, we provide onsite shredding for individuals to dispose of documents containing personal information. The service is provided to the public at no cost.

BBB Military Line - Since 2004, BBB Military Line has provided free resources to our military communities in the areas of financial literacy and consumer protection. This program protects military families from scams targeting their community. The five main components of the program are Education, Outreach, Information, Data Collection and Complaint and Dispute Resolution.
