Read Complaint Details
Complaint: I was charged for 5.9 gallons of liquid propane (LP) to refill a 20-lb propane tank. I knew 5.9 gal. well exceeds the maximum capacity of this tank and brought it to the attention of the both the attendee that filled the tank and the sales clerk. I indicated to both employees that I directly observed 2 gal. registered on the meter as propane was directly vented into the air above the storage tank prior to the attendee opening the valve to fill my tank. Neither the attendee or the sales clerk were willing to reduce the charge for the gas vented into the air, and the sales clerk became verbally aggressive when I expressed my dissatisfaction. I paid the full amount of $29.50 ($26.94 + $2.56 tax) and left. Product_Or_Service: Liquid propane ***Supporting documents redacted by BBB***
Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund I would like to be refunded for the 2 gal. of LP that was directly vented into the air ($10 including tax) and the appropriate authorities to be notified this business is overcharging for services rendered.
Business Response: Business' Initial Response /* (1000, 7, 2013/07/10) */ I did talk to the customer. H explained to me what happened. I did tell him that my guy made a mistake. He left the valve open and gas came out when he closed it. I told him I can give him his money back or help him anyway that I can. He said fine when he came back. I tried my best to help him and he said everything was okay.
