We have a **** SF Rambler in **********. Our roofing project was done in May 2020. Everything from start to finish was a wonderful experience. ***************** was our Sales Representative. Once the deal was made and deposit received, ***** lined us up with a Site ***************** for the job. He also lined up his wife who is Larry ******** daughter and Office Manager for communications. I could call her or Email her and usually get someone to communicate with me within an hour. We went with their top of the line CertainTeed Presidential roofing product and we are delighted with our new roof. We also had them replace 3 skylights and install 2 new skylights. Everything was done near the beginning of Covid and they had set their policy that no workers would ever come into our house. They even had a Santi-can on a trailer for their employees to use. Only the guy doing the 2 new skylights had to come into our house and he was amazing - I never saw someone do dust free drywall work before. I highly recommend this company.

Worst customer service ever! While the quality of workmanship on my new roof is good, the office staff provided terrible customer service. Once I had signed the contract and given a 50% down payment (much higher than any of the other 5 companies I interviewed), the account was turned over to a scheduler with zero project management skills. All her communications were unprofessional and she signed emails with a cartoon character! That is definitely NOT appropriate for business. The salesman was professional, but I soon learned that he is apparently the only customer oriented individual at this company. I was assigned a project manager a few days before the installation started (6 months after making the down payment) but he went on vacation 2 days later. Once work started on the roof, I had a couple conversations with the onsite foreman but he did not check in at the end of each day. There was no set schedule and the crew would arrive at a different time and then leave each day without letting me know the current status. I ended up calling the salesman several times over the week it took for the installation to ask for an update on when work would be complete. From the beginning I had been told the job should take about 2-1/2 to 3 days. Several other homes in my community had roof replacements done this year and none took more than 3 days. While I wasn't overly concerned about how long the job was taking (partly due to weather) I was totally frustrated with the lack of communication. Even the billing process was unprofessional. The statement was sent to my personal email account, indicated payment is “due upon receipt” and the salesman would come by to pick up a check that same day! This was not a delinquent account and a professional company would not email a bill and then expect to have payment the same day! Most people, especially those of us who are employed, do not check their personal emails constantly throughout the day. During the entire process, whenever I contacted the owner he avoided responding to any questions related to their lack of customer service. His email responses were professionally written, but he never answered any service related questions. Even though their product and workmanship is high quality, that does NOT exempt Larry Haight Roofing from providing quality customer service!
