Renting townhouse since 2009 and discovered a ceiling leak coming from the closet with black mold present on the ceiling of the closet. Contacted PPI multiple times between Feb. 7-Feb 30, 2023 requesting they fix the leak and remediate the mold. No response from ***** at PPI until almost a month later advising I can move to neighboring townhome permanently. That was never an option for me but rather, they fix the leak and remove black mold. I have been sick for several years without any knowledge as to the mold present in the rental unit, This was 2nd leak in same place bc of failing furnace on 2nd floor. Additionally, the units have become infested with RATS! And instead of treating all rentals, they focused only on my unit despite me telling them that the rats were coming from neighboring units. Neighboring units have same issues with ceiling mold, leaking ceiling and rat infestation. A strong chemical is coming through the vent system that is toxic and a health issue causing throat burning for several days after entering unit w/N95 mask, post nasal drip, naseau, hives, asthma attack, headaches and burning eyes. Stillcrickets from PPI. They did order an air quality test of my unit but refused to share the results with me. I paid full months of rent for February and March despite being unable to reside in the unit since 2/10/23. I requested refund of prorated rent for February and used my last month rent payment for March. I should be reimbursed for prorated Feb. and all of March since I cannot live in the unit bc they have not addressed nor attempted to fix this issue. They should pay me for my damaged personal property from their ceiling leak and non-repair & mold, including furniture. They need to pay for my temporary housing for the past 2 months & pay my moving expenses due to their negligence. PPI is terrible at any attempt to address or fix issues that render properties as uninhabitable. They simply do not care and are irresponsible property managers.
