Problems with Product/Service

Complaint: I called to have a toilet replaced. They gave me a quote of 348 per toilet over the phone and made no mention of extra charges. I scheduled the technician and he showed up and performed the work installing 2 new toilets. He then gave me the bill and it came to $1350.00. I contacted the business office and they then said the 348 did not include labor. At no time did they mention that there would be additional charge for changing out 2 toilets and they never provided me with a written quote. I would not have had 2 done if they had been up front about the price. When I contacted them to try and resolve the issue they said they would see what they could do to fix the pricing issue and call me back the following day. I never heard from them again.
Desired Settlement: I am a reasonable person and I know that a quote can have some flexibility to it but nearly double the price given is outrageous. When I get a quote written or over the phone I expect it to be fairly close. Their excuse was that they can not tell you how much labor will be involved but when the tech arrived I asked him how long it would take and he said 2 hours. At no time did they say we charge 348 for the materials and 220 for the labor.
I'm sorry you feel this way regarding your project. Our office made it very clear that the price we quoted was for materials only. Our labor charges have always been by the half hour. As you recall, we installed the same toilet for you 18 months ago, and the material charges were only $45 less than this visit, and labor was additional then as well. Our Parts Manager, **** did reach out to you after your initial call, to offer an apology as well as a discount on your bill. Unfortunately this was not sufficient for you. Also, when the service was completed, the invoice was signed and paid in full without any questions or concerns regarding the final cost.
