            On June 30 our next door neighbor hired Deschutes Plumbing to come to her house and clean out her clogged sewer lateral. When the Deschutes Plumbing employee opened the cleanout for our neighbor's lateral, raw sewage escaped and flowed across our neighbor's lot and onto our property, where it pooled ** in our side yard. I estimate the amount of raw sewage on our property at ***** gallons (photos available).I happened to discover the spill while walking from my backyard to the side yard. I asked the employee on-site what he would be doing to clean up the mess. He said Deschutes Plumbing was not responsible and would do nothing. I followed up with 2 phone calls to Deschutes Plumbing and got the same response. The person I spoke with suggested that our neighbor was responsible, and I should negotiate with her. This was obviously not her fault. She simply sought help from Deschutes Plumbing.Deschutes Plumbing is clearly responsible and negligent.
