The home was built by Marlette Homes in ****** and ran us a total of $130,000. After moving in we found that all the water that we had been using in the kitchen sink was draining straight under the home, as the sink drain was not connected to the sewer line! We then spent the next few weeks with a furnace that was not functioning properly and blowing cold air. There were evenings we were left completely without heat. When we called to have the problem addressed, we were told that they didn't come out because we had covid. My wife, nor myself, have ever had covid and it was either a complete fabrication or a miscommunication on their part. After battling the furnace for weeks, a crew came and sawed through our ceiling to find a heating pipe going the wrong way, tied up with a rope! They also noticed much debris in areas that were highly flammable, had they come into contact with heat! There was no hot water in our bathroom and my wife suffers from Fibermyalgia and must take hot baths often to ease her pain, she was unable to do that for weeks, coupled with the fact that we didn't have heat. She grew very ill and is slowly recovering from the ordeal. There has been horrible oversight on the construction of this home and we are very concerned at what else will go wrong with this home in the future. The company we bought it from, ******* Homes in ********** **, and the manufacturer, Marlette Homes, have been completely unresponsive in their willingness to compensate us for this living nightmare we have had to endure and selling us a home with zero quality control. Please, I am asking as an 80 year old veteran, we need to be compensated for all that we have been through and will continue to go through as we live in this uncertain and unregulated home. We do not want this to happen to any other family. I need to ensure that my wife is in a secure home when I am no longer here and as of right now, it is merely a faulty house, not a home.
