We stayed at *********** for 2 nights. -We got there late and had a hard time to locate our room as employees had already left for the day. No maps of the location. No lights. There was no emergency after hours number to call to ask for help. It was only when someone living there helped us, we were able to find our room.-when we finally found the room, we noticed the room was not clean. There were stains on the bedsheets and the bathroom was dusty. -at the end of this long day, we wanted to just shower and go to bed. But the shower did not work at all. We tried pulling out shower k*** as hard as we could, but it was stuck. We just simply were not able to take a shower that evening. A comfortable bed is essential for a motel. But here the mattress is horrible, and it is long over due for a replacement, and we could not find a comfortable position by tossing and turning.The next morning, we talked to the person at the front desk and she basically implied it was our fault for not being strong enough to pull it and said that all we needed to do was pull harder. We had to wait for housekeeping to come and help us in the morning (which affected our timing of activities planned for the day). When housekeeping arrived, she helped us pull it out and told us that it was because there was grime inside that caused it to be stuck and that it needed attention from maintenance. We feel as guests we should not be expected to deal with that. we had a very unpleasant first night there and would like to request a refund of the 1st night. But the place did not honor the request, and not even want to apologize for what we have experienced.This place simply does not care and does not maintain the minimal service standard. The motel needs to be audited and needs significant improvement.
