    Called the office have my condensation pump replaced on my split mini. I had to wait two and a half weeks in the August heat wave for an appointment and requested they come with a pump so it could be replaced that day. **** showed up to do a diagnosis without a replacement pump and said it would be over $1100 and he would have to order the pump ( more delay). He also wasnt able to go into the attic in his physical limitations. Ill fix it myself, but I had to still pay $109 for the visit and to be told what I already knew (pump needed to be replaced). I shouldnt have wasted my time calling Quality. If this company wants to keep customers, they should communicate better, listen to their customers, and provide better value. They are at the bottom of my list for hvac services. They were a waste of time and money.

    I contracted to have a routine $189 maintenance check up for my HVAC unit on 12/17/21. I was billed $1605.89. I only authorized $143 of this increase. The balance was for work allegedly done without informing me in advance,The bulk of this overcharge -$992.80 plus tax - was for adding 8 pounds of R22 Refrigerant at $124 per pound. The technician stated that the price was high because R22 was in short supply and that he had been lucky to get any. In addition he charged $340 labor for about 1.5 hours.I learned later that any HVAC system missing this much refrigerant has a leak. The leak should be sealed before adding more refrigerant. The technician did not do this. Most importantly , I found a reputable website supplier who ships R22 anywhere in the USA for under $20 per pound for orders of **** pounds or more. Even small shipments cost less then $35 per pound delivered. There are no shortages.I called Quality for an explanation of this high billing in early January. Their receptionist promised a response four months ago but ,so far, I have not heard from them. Hopefully, this compliant will trigger a response.

    Our customer's review on the ******************** site definitely got my attention. I am the owner of Quality Heating, Electrical and Air Conditioning and I responded to ***** this morning. I became aware that ***** had contacted the office several times and that the service dispatcher had forward his information to my new General Manager to respond to. My General Manager did not respond in a timely fashion and since he is out of the office, I responded only this morning. In my response I reviewed his charges and the fact that they include "flat rate" pricing and labor costs, not just the refrigerant. I hope my response and explanation will be helpful to ******************, and again I apologize profusely for taking too long to respond to his request. We are using this example to learn from and hopefully help improve our lines of communication. I hope that after my explanation of the billing, our customer will fill better about the services rendered as priced. I also firmly believe that if we had responded expeditiously ****************** would not have felt it necessary to contact the BBB or rate our company as low as he did. Again, I am so sorry for our failure to meet expectations.
