      I have been in contact with customer service many times in the past 7 months to understand basic issues I am having with coverage. I have in 7 months been transferred to many departments, informed I would be contacted later, and dropped while being transferred repeatedly. I have not had one person in customer service not transfer me. Each time I am told to call customer service again because I was not transferred to the correct person. I'm receiving statements for items that I cant identify what they actually are. No one has been able to inform me what I'm being billed for. No one will answer basic questions that I cannot answer myself about coverage after looking at my benefits online. To date I have paid out of pocket for every doctor visit and script as a type 1 diabetic with a gold PPO plan. I cannot get anyone to help me simply be informed why this is happening or answer any questions so I can understand how to fix this. They have Absolutely done nothing to support me as a member or insured person. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a insurance provider.

      Providence denied much needed procedures and the appeal process is very long and tedious. Every time I called to check on my prior authorization I was told one thing and then would be told a different thing by another person. Their policy's for needed procedures are set in a way that they will be easily denied. They claim they are for Compassion, Justice, Excellence, Dignity, Integrity and Safety but they are not. I had to continue to be in pain while waiting up to 30 business days for a decision on my appeals. My pain a suffering means nothing to them. They are about the bottom line! I will soon be disabled without my needed surgery but they don't care because then they will no longer be my insurance company.

      I called Providence...yet again and can not talk to a real person...yet again. My PT tried to **** my visit today and I wasn't recognized by Providence. I contacted my company and found that there are no issues with our coverage or plan. When I did get a real person, she was from VSP with a completely different phone number than the customer service line I called and she had no idea how I got there. I then tried the online route and after the first attempt at my login was told I made too many attempts and to call the help desk. I called the help desk and a robot told me there was a 20 minute wait time. We pay a lot every month for our premiums, I actually pay the bills for our company and just sent our payment to Providence today being the first of the month. We answer our phones with a live person every time at our company. There is NO excuse for not answering your business phones with a live person. If you must use robots and keep people on the phones answering prompts, you clearly can't handle your customer load. This leaves the burden on the customer to keep calling back day after day trying to get through on an issue that Providence has created and needs to fix, but the customer pays the price. Bad management all around. No excuses here.
