Complaint: This was a remodel / restoration project. Timeline far exceeded the original written expectations (by months). Inferior work. Patch work done in bedroom visible, uneven (warp) in bathroom Sheetrock repair. Carpeting in both bedrooms not secured, already coming up in threshold of both rooms. Hardwood stairs large gaps, uneven treads, Bedroom closest door broken, trim already falling off around the perimeter of the upstairs bathroom. Paid for cleaning that was not done. Uneven hardwood floor in upstairs hallway. Pain left on bedroom door frame. Door frame in upstairs bathroom not secured. Floor in upstairs bathroom not prepped for new vinyl flooring resulting in dip / divot in floor. Scrapes / scratches in stair well from pulling up the old carpeting. Transition strip between downstairs bathroom and hallway does not match any of the other transitions. Overcharged on two different occasions by thousands of dollars, ( this was resolved but non the less, they were charging for work not done, materials not purchased and a 3200.00 check that should have been applied. ) Unresponsive meeting with owner of the company *** **** ****. Unresponsive to itemized list of deficiencies, and un responsive to a complaint filed with Angie's List resolution center. I am currently retaining an attorney for further resolution. Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund Have had a independent contractor come review the areas of sub-par work and have a cost of 3,200.00 to fix. This does not include my labor hours for daily cleaning ( blood on wall, sheet-rock and nails in bathtub, nails left on floor, sweeping, floors since we were residing in the home during construction taking out trash )

Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/11/09) */ This restoration was completed professionally and the homeowners said they were satisfied with the finished job. The timeline was delayed by numerous factors; the homeowners requests to do the project in stages which required additional trips by our crews, material selection delays, homeowner's requests for us to wait until she returned from being away, change orders for additional work and material delivery delays. There were also delays due to inspections, and paper work processing by the mortgage company. This complaint was the first notification of many of the issues listed and the homeowner has not asked us to make repairs nor given us the opportunity to inspect and or repair the listed deficiencies. Cleaning was done. Extra trips were made to the project to do cleaning in addition to the cleaning normally done as work progresses. The bedroom closet door was not broken by our crews. The subfloor was significantly sagged prior to the restoration. We floated the underlayment in order to level the floor. The walls in the stairwell were patched and the texture blended to match near the end of the project. We did not do the painting in this area. We did not have the opportunity to inspect the texture after painting. Paint was cleaned off of the door in the bedroom. The closest available transition was used at the bathroom to hallway opening. We did not do the flooring in the downstairs hallway. The property owner was not overcharged. We presented an invoice based on the agreed upon work. We discussed and reviewed with the owners the materials they purchased and the labor they did not want us to do and credited them accordingly. We can provide photos and supporting documents on request. We stand behind our work and will respond to requests for warranty repairs per our contracts.

Complaint: Numerous false statements to customer( myself) as well as the insurance adjuster. Voided my contract and ate cureemtly attempting to bill for work not performed under the voided contract.

Desired Settlement: Not bill for work not work performed under the voided contract.
