              BECU used to be a decent responsive credit union. Over the last decade it has declined and declined. It is no different than large businesses where you can never reach anyone when you have a real problem - and each time you call in, you get a different person, and sometimes are directed to web-forms for "inquiries," where you won't receive back any useful information, nor a name of a person, or any contact information. In addition, there is no way to get to an ombudsman.After decades with them, I am done, done, done. I have 3 other credit union accounts, and all my assets will be move over to a competent caring business.

              My recent attempt to get a loan was extremely frustrating. The loan officer was never available and never called me when I requested it.The whole process seemed liked a random hand off game.

              I used to like BECU back when it was just ******. Had this bank for a long time. Lately, not so much. I paid my bill on time for years, this last one I paid it, they cashed it and I thought all was good. But no, I received a letter two weeks later stating I did pay my bill. I called and what a cluster! The representative asked me all of my personal information and I told her why I was calling. She had troubles, couldn't find the information, her headset wasn't working and she said I would get a call back. Nope, no call! I'm still trying to get this taken care of. BECU sure attached the late fees fast and want more money! I even have my bank statement to show my check was cashed. Still nothing.! Horrible service. Don't bank here.......go anywhere else. Don't know what happened to the local bank. Step up BECU!

              I want to preface this by saying that I used to hold BECU in high regard. Not anymore. From a string of fraudulent transactions with my debit card, to having credit card fraud within the first six months of opening one, plus going through a runaround trying to open a cash back credit card I am fed up. BECU needs to step up and actually put people first by prioritizing security of members money and operating with more transparency. If you bank here check your accounts daily and use Apple Pay to give your transactions an extra layer of security. Be prepared to advocate for yourself. Very disappointed with the direction BECU is going in.

              This review is specifically for the Mortgage and **************************** If I could leave a less than 1 star review, I would. I have been trying to resolve my father's estate and after months of frustrating phonecalls, horrible customer service, contradictory information and straight up misinformation, I have given up. I have no online access to the mortgage BECU account, although I am the legal estate executor, and have been told there's nothing I can do. The entire process has been an absolute nightmare. After a scathing survey, someone called me back to offer help. Too little, too late.

              Ive had my becu **** cc for 7 years. My credit amount was raised last august. This past july i made half of my minimum payment and as a result my account was closed a month later.

              Terrible. Their website to pay your loan DOES NOT WORK. I've tried multiple different cards, re-typed the info to make sure it was correct, and even tried on different days but it still just says "error please try again later". Now I tried calling customer service, after inputting all the information, they tell me they're not open today because why say that at the beginning?? Of course there is also no email address you can communicate with, no other links, and just pointless blogs on their website that all basically tell you "do it online like this!" even though you cannot do that. Worst financial service I've dealt with

              Multiple fraudulent attempts to gain access to my debit account. This is happening on a holiday so they have no one to help me secure my account. The system will not let me change my password online likely because of the fraud attempts. The only people I can get through to say all they can do is pause my debit card and I must wait to talk to someone at the branch when they re-open after the holiday Even if I can actively see fraudulent charges being taken from my account. Now I have to wait over 24h to do anything about the fraudulent attempts to gain access to my account. This is horribly poor security and these are dangerously complacent risks being taken by the credit union and is members. My hard earned money is now on the line because my credit union wont hep me secure my account after legitimate fraudulent attempts to gain access.

              Predatory loan practices; my loan payment was depositing into my share account, and then not applied to my loan until a week later, giving them time to charge me a late fee. I spent an hour on the phone with their support service to determine that the account number I had been given was not my Loan number, but my "savings" account number that I didn't ask for. It's been a giant pain in the a** doing a loan payment through them when they're not my primary bank, I would not recommend it to others.
