Community Cycling Center receives funding from contributions from individuals, businesses and foundations; contract revenues from local governments; bike shop sales; program fees; and non-cash contributions of donated bicycles and bicycle parts.
According to its audited financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2012, its fundraising expenses, $136,811, were 29.3% of related contributions, $466,659. The mission of Community Cycling Center is to broaden access to bicycling and its benefits. Their vision is to build a vibrant community where people of all backgrounds use bicycles to stay healthy and connected. Community Cycling Center utilizes direct mail appeals, telephone appeals, invitations to fundraising events, print advertisements, grant proposals and internet appeals as their methods of fundraising.
