Read Complaint Details
Complaint: Had a new exhaust and down pipe installed, however, the welding was poorly applied to a piece of piping that was not able to hold the weld, therefor, Jimmy's craftsmanship had failed and the exhaust has fallen off. Took the vehicle in question back to the shop today, 10/09/2015 and they want more money to replace the exhaust again. Paid $160.00 and I would like a refund due to poor craftsmanship by a so call certified mechanic. Or we can simply file a smll claims if they are not willing to rectify their mistakes.
Desired Settlement: Asking for quality work at this point is obviously asking too much, given the nature of the poor craftsmanship, thus, a refund can be mailed to my place of residency.
Business Response: The consumer's exhaust, tail pipe and muffler was originally done on 4/24/2013 and it had a 12 month warranty. We told the customer he needed a new piece of pipe in place of a flange when he came to our location in October of 2015 and that he would need to pay since it was no longer covered by warranty. We believe there was a leak in the flange. It sounds like normal wear and tear.
