I took my 2009 Hyundai for *** maps updates on the built-in system. Attempt #1 failed. The existing 2012 maps were wiped out which the same dealer had previously installed. They ordered a software "update". Attempt #2 failed. The service advisor claimed there was nothing else they could do. "Our hands are tied", "The car is too old". Me: "If the car was too old why wasn't I informed of this before you worked on it?" No response. The service manager did not step in to discuss the situation with me but made rounds to talk to other customers. I asked to re-install the 2012 maps: "we don't have them". I showed them paperwork where they previously updated the *** maps to 2012: "this information will not help update the *** maps". It went over their heads that they had previously done this work on the same car. They would not sell the *** software: "It's a dealer-only product". I found that they contacted the wrong support group to get help to update the maps. They claimed that the built-in system "may be" defective. A new replacement: $2,400. I had not been charged for the previous 2 visits. I made a third appointment. They wanted a $142 diagnostic fee for new visits for this issue in addition to $144 for the *** update. I cancelled it and contacted Hyundai ************* (Corporate). I found that ********************** Corporate has no influence over dealers that bare their name. The dealer made claims: "The *** maps were already wiped out when we tried the updates", "We made appointments the customer cancelled". Both untrue. In the end, I realized that the dealer would not accept responsibility for wiping the existing maps and Hyundai ************* offered no solutions or remedies. The dealer has demonstrated that after 2 attempts at *** maps updates, they didn't know what they're doing and can't be trusted to properly service a vehicle. Why pay them to diagnose a problem they caused? I dodged a bullet here. I would not feel safe taking my vehicle to this dealer again.

Vancouver Ford in WA is the absolute worst company you will ever deal with. They have had my car in their possession since Nov 20 2021 and not lifted one finger to fix it. I am 100% serious!!!. I have worked with so many people there begging until I was in tears for help. The most recent is this guy (not allowed to give name) who claims to be the Operations Director. He is rude, uncaring, disrespectful and a bully on the phone. Maybe that is just because I am a woman and he thinks he can get by with it. When I told him I was going to get my husband he tried to end the call saying, "so you don't want to talk to me". I felt that he was putting a show on for anyone who was sitting around him! His only excuse is that he is having a bad day, doesn't have the staff to do a transmission breakdown and that all he can get out of **************** is 1 word answers. **************** blames the Dealership, the dealership blames customer service, and all I have gotten out of the deal is making 3 car payments on a car I haven't driven in 3 months. BTW... it is a 2017 **** Escape... the transmission went out, the back lid won't lift up and the that is just the beginning. Car is trash, Dealership is trash, and the director's attitude is trash. Thank you for nothing and leaving me trapped in my home since 11/20/21 with out any vehicle. If you buy anything from this dealership then you are walking right into a nightmare of lies and false promises! I kid you not.... DON'T DO IT!!! I am full of nothing but regret and an expensive piece of Junk......... Now they want a full $7,000.00 to fix the ******.... well that is if they had time!!!!!

I own a 2001 F-150. I've had to get it into the Vancouver Ford Service Department at least three times for the same problem, the most recent being 05/17 through 05/28/21. I've been told the problem has to do with the theft control blocking the fuel pump from sending fuel to the engine. THE SAME PROBLEM EVERY TIME! This time no work was performed; several calls to the service department and manager Keith Hollowell went unreturned. With my truck sitting at the service department for almost two weeks, I was finally able to speak with Mr. Hollowell and was told there was no way the problem could be resolved. If this (Ford can't even service its own manufactured vehicles) something needs to be changed--specifically the "service" label in this department. Basically this is a misrepresentation of this part of your business. I'll be forwarding this information to the Vancouver Better Business Bureau and any other type of consumer protection advisory group I can find. It's not just themoney I've thrown away trying to receive a full faith service from Vancouver Ford, but the frustration and waste of time and on-again off-again lousy "fixes" I've been told would solve the problem. I hope this message will reach some agency or person who can do something constructive about this and, hopefully prevent some other poor sucker from having to go through this crap.
