My car required the heater core to be replaced. I was quoted that the parts would be $744.65 with a ****** discount. I was then quoted that the labour would be $1,700. And that the 15% ****** could be applied to that as well.By going with Mazda I would be able to save about $300, over staying local. I chose Mazda because I did the math and knew my grand total including parts would be about $2,189.Today I went to pick up my car. When I finally got to the pay counter I was told my total with the discount was $2,355.61. The ************) behind the counter could see that. I explained to him that I had been quoted $1,700 and that the entire reason I came here (1 hr away from my home) was because they were $300 cheaper than my mechanic (thanks to the 15% ****** discount). That was the only reason I came here. He contacted the advisor I had been dealing with (J) and she told him that when I was getting my rental car she told me the new price and I said ok. That is not true. If she had told me the new quote for your car is now $2,200 I would have said no. I would have said either give me that part that I had to pay for in order to get an appointment or give me a refund for the part. I never would have agreed to that new price. So its her story against mine. And while the calls are recorded (where they would be able to hear her saying my quote is $1,700). I had nothing in writing, because we did our negotiations over the phone. She claims she said the new price to me face to face. She absolutely did not.I had to pay the full price to get my car, a grand total of $3,099. Because this woman misquoted me I had to pay $910 extra. My whole goal was to be able to save $300. Instead Mazda pulled a fast one on me, and I now am out $910 that I cant afford.
