    I own a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. My truck's transmission went out in December of 2022 at ****** miles and I brought the truck to Auburn Chevrolet for repairs. The service department gave me the option of rebuilding the transmission or getting a new transmission for 7000 dollars. I opted for the New transmission and then waited patiently for my repairs to be completed. The repairs took a few months to complete and was told by Gypsy that the new transmission was coming from ******* and that's the reason it was taking so long to repair. When the repairs were completed and I picked up the truck, I noticed the receipt said rebuilt transmission (not new as I was told) so we asked for the ******* mile warranty in writing and I drove the truck away. I noticed almost immediately that after driving the truck for 30 minutes there was a bit of slipping in the gears and I told ***** about it and she said there top mechanic did all the work and assured me it was ok. Fast forward to January of 2024 and I was merging onto the I-405 in ******** in rush hour traffic and the transmission completely slipped out of gear and I was nearly rear ended before the transmission somewhat reengaged and I was able to make it to work. I called Auburn Chevrolet and scheduled an appointment to repair the transmission and requested a rental car since the trucks transmission has a ******* mile warranty. When I arrived at service department for my repairs, Gypsy was there and she asked me to pay ****** for a mechanic to diagnose the truck. I took time off work thinking maybe a transmission flush or something easy could solve the problem and now I'm asked to pay for diagnostics. Today on my way to work the transmission was slipping quite a bit and I know it's gonna fail but being stranded on the freeway in rush hour is a scary proposition.
