Complaint: My Subaru Impreza was rear ended on 1/29/2014, asnd per advise from my insurance company, *****, we took it to FixAuto Bellevue for repairs. We got our Subaru back in first week of March and on March 11 we reported "Check Engine" indicator along with flashing cruise-control. The initial diagnosis of "check engine" light based on error code scan by *** indicated leakage from fuel cap, and per his advise we have replaced the fuel cap but still the problem persists. This has been brought to **** notice and he assured us to get it investigated. However, after several calls FixAuto has failed to return calls to us and has not yet corrected the problem and even has not taken any steps to rectify it.

Desired Settlement: We want the check engine light root cause to be identified and resolved at the earliest in a approved manner, since this is a result of incomplete or incorrect repairs done following the accident.

Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2014/06/09) */ The vehicle is here today,June 9,2014. The vehicle has a persistent error code for fuel cap failure to hold pressure. Mr. ****** purchased another gas cap as noted in the complaint. However, the vehicle did have an error code when it arrived today for "fuel cap failure to hold pressure". Our mechanic took apart filler line, gas cap and fuel tank to inspect for any damage or lose connections to any part of the rear fuel system. None found. He cleared error code. The vehicle has been tested numerous times today with no error code reappearing. We will be returning the vehicle to the customer today.
