Complaint: I have paperwork to back up this complaint. On July 20th I made a reservation for August 5th, one night at the Homer Inn and Spa, in Homer, Alaska (**************@yahoo.com) and was billed to my VISA on same day the full room expense of $213.92. On July 30th 10 days later and five days before the intended reservation date we had to cancel. We cancelled because of a big mixup on the airlines and had to cancel all our bookings. I had no problems and ne fees in cancelling with the bigger hotel chains and our car rental. However this is a small B&B and has differing rules on this which I can understand. However due to the circumstances I was stunned that they refused to refund any of our $213.92 charge. Their cancellation policy is as follows from their website: If cancellations occur with less than 30 days notice, deposits will be forfeited. I had made a reservation ten days earlier for a date 15 days out. How could I possibly satisfy this 30 day rule as a last minute booking. I am extremely upset that they would not even offer a partial refund in my case. Is there anything you might be able to do the settle with the proprietor **** ****** at the above email.

Desired Settlement: refund our $213.92 charge.At the very least I would hope that their greed is duly noted.
