Complaint: Overcharged without previous notification Call road service of this company and they request a credit card in advance stating that nothing will be charge without previous advise. Over the phone said will be $125x hour plus service call $75.Request recap tire price and was quoted for $265.Work ordered replacing 2 tires, one with spare tire the other with the recap one finally without previous notification they charge $1492 for this work, after checking bank account find out the amount charged never informed amount or fax receipt as previously agreed, after calling for complaint for the insane amount for replacing tires was told than they need to use another truck to take the tired and the cost for that was $150 x hour(never stated before)plus another $75 of another service call. After complaining the lady told me to call next day and talk with the manager cause she realized that was something wrong. Next day try calling and was transferred to the manager and went to voicemail, leave several messages and never hear back for him. On the four call the lady on the phone upset told me he cant answer and your money don't going to be returned.
Desired Settlement: Im looking to get around $600 back cause believe that charging $800 for a $265 recap tire,3 hours at $125 and $75 service call is more than enough So believe $800 will be fair but not the insane amount of $1492
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/09/08) */ Contact Name and Title: **************, ******** Contact Phone: ************ Contact Email: ********@a1worldtruck.com On 8/20/2014 World Truck was contacted by Eduardo Garcia to change two customer supplied tires on Trailer #******. At the time the call came in the customer was advised World Truck rates of Call Out $75/hr and Roadside Labor $125/hr after hours $150/hr and all time is port to port (from the time we leave our shop, perform the work and return to our shop. The customer was also advised of the 4% credit card convenience fee and fuel surcharge. When World Truck the technician arrived onsite, the one customer supplied tire had cords showing and was unsafe to install. We are obligated by law through FMCSA and PUCO, not install any unsafe equipment on any vehicle. (Attached is a picture of the unsafe customer supplied tire). The customer REFUSED to purchase 2 recap tires, even for safety measures. After a discussion with the customer about liability, etc. another technician was dispatched to save the customer time & money with a recap tire to replace the unsafe tire that we could not install. When the service was completed, the customer signed the attached field invoice agreeing to the charges and also signed the attached credit card authorization form. At no time did the customer call and speak to a manager to discuss or dispute the charges. The amount charged to the customer's credit card is not an overcharge by any means as all charges were explained up front and agreed upon prior to dispatching a technician as well as after the service call was completed. Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/09/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) they never talk to me ,they don't have any invoice with my signature and yes I call to complaint about the overprice trying to talk to the manager and was talk that he don't going to talk to me and other than that leave 3 voicemail on his phone and never get an answer. I will agreed what they said if they show me just one invoice with my signature on it. Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/09/11) */ See Attached Documents. Consumer signed and agreed to charges. We stand by our initial response.
