Complaint: This company had quoted $80 to do a "diagnostic." That suddenly became a $220 figure. Then a new filter was $60 when I could purchase that same filter for $22. The quotes for repairs were $500 for the defective part and about $1200 for installation. All work was completed by another company for $550 including diagnostic and replacement and repair
Desired Settlement: Would like $120 back and the company sanctioned for over charging customers for work that another company can do not for a few dollars less but I got irritated when I was quoted $500 for a part that only cost $150. The general consumer public needs to be protected from companies like this.

IN YOUR CASE, UPON ARRIVAL, THE COMPRESSOR WAS VERY HOT AND NOT OPERATING BECAUSE THE INTERNAL THERMOSTAT OF THE COMPRESSOR SHUT IT DOWN. A FIXED QUOTED PRICE TO ADDRESS ANY AND EACH OF ABOVE SITUATIONS, APPROVED BY THE CUSTOMER, BEFORE ANY REPAIRS ARE BEGUN. JENNINGS QUOTED YOU THE PRICE TO REPLACE THE EXPANSION VALVE, RECLAIM THE OLD REFRIGERANT, ADD A REFRIGERANT FILTER DRYER, PUT THE SYSTEM INTO A VACUUM TO ELIMINATE AIR AND MOISTURE AND PROVIDE NEW REFRIGERANT TO CHARGE YOUR SYSTEM TO FULL CAPACITY, THE RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE BY THE REFRIGERATION SERVICE ENGINEERS SOCIETY. YOU DID NOT APPROVE AND JENNINGS DID NOT PROCEED WITH THE REPAIRS. JENNINGS HAS A 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE. THEREFORE $210, THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID AND MORE THAN THE AMOUNT REQUESTED, WILL BE REFUNDED. JENNINGS HOPES THAT THIS IS ACCEPTABLE.
