Customer Reviews Summary
|Oct. 07, 2014||I am very unhappy with the experience with this dealer. I talked online with Steve G. He told me if I was coming to see the 2003 Red Avalanche, I was to email him so he can have it ready up front for me. I emailed Steve to let him know so the truck can be pulled to the front.
After a hour drive from Cleveland, I get to the dealer and park up front and see no sign of the truck up front. As I parked, a salesman just looked at me and gave the weirdest look and turned around. We then came in the building and was greeted by the lady behind the desk who was nice to us. I asked for Gary S. When I spoke to Steve he told me to ask for Gary. The lady told me where Gary is at, and come to find out that is the salesman who looked at us weird and turned around. I then told my wife I don't know about this. The truck was way in the back of the building where the drive in car wash is at. So much for having the truck pulled to the front.
We jump in the truck to test drive and the first thing Gary tells me is this truck is sold Saturday if it does not sell in the next 2 days. He made sure he said that about 2 more times during the test drive. I asked him questions about the truck and he could not answer. When we came back to the dealer I asked him about the rear window. I asked him if the window slides down. His answer was " I don't know I am not a Chevy Guy". At this point I got the vibe he didn't care to sell the truck because it was sold already on Saturday. I went in and again Gary told me that truck is sold on Saturday. So he wrote up the cost with the title and tax. Without me asking he told me the price will not go lower. He told me all he can give me is 500 dollars for my car. He told me the car was worthless to him and better off if I did not trade it in. That was an insult.
He went on and on about how he can't do nothing with my car but sell it to a wholesale dealer. He said the wholesale dealer would not give him much and at the same time he said the wholesale dealer would sell it on their lot for $2,999.
I went to another dealer and they were going to give me $1500 for the car. I didn't end up buying their truck because I had change my mind due to the miles it had. I feel 500 dollars is a big insult. My wife had a Ford Taurus with 140,000 miles and the check engine light was on and she got $1,500 dollars for it at the dealer she bought her SUV.
Gary was telling me how the dealer sells a lot of cars. I started to think that Gary would want to sell this truck and the vibe I got from him was he had no interest to sell this truck because like he told me many times the truck was sold on Saturday. He got the car fax. He showed it to me, however, at no time did he let me look at it on my own. It has gotten late and the bank was closed so we could not process a deal. So my wife and I had a hour trip back to Cleveland and were talking on how horrible Gary was as a salesman. We decided not to drive a hour back. Also we will not buy from this dealer. Not worth the waste of time.|
