            New tenant on a residential property of Solil. I am being charged a late fee even though I was told via phone that the accounting department will not accept any method of payment until my account is active.July 1st: Called to find out how to make a payment to the landlord. Connected with ***************** from accounting and she informed me that my account is not set up in the system and explained they cannot accept any method of payment until the account is set up.July 13th: Followed up and the account is not set up. July 19th: Contacted ***************** in accounting and she shared that my account is now set up and I can make payments online. She provided my account number to create the account. July 20th: Made payment for **** prorated rent. Confirmation # ****************** July 27th: Late fee in effect for prorated **** rent August 2nd: Contacted ***************** and ********************* to understand the late fee. ***** mentioned that this was an error by ****** and to explain my situation in writing.

            I recently moved out of ************* and had what has been the worst, most unprofessional experience dealing with a landlord. I informed them I was moving out over a monthahead of time. A few weeks before I was scheduled to move, their real estate agent called me and asked me to inform management that I was moving out on 8/17/23 so they could bring in people to fix some water damage and mold issues before the poor new tenant moved in on 9/1/23. I was happy to help and emailed them letting them know. We had multiple emails back and forth setting up the move, sending the movers' COI info, etc. Then on the day of the move I email to let them know I left the keys on the counter. A week goes by and I get a bill from them asking for holdover rent...a week before my lease was even technically up (I got the bill on 8/25 but my lease was until 8/31). I email them about it, no reply. I call to check up on my security deposit on 8/28 and the poor lady in their checking office says they have no record of me moving. She transfers me to April, who at first alsoclaims they have no record of me moving. Once I tell her I have been emailing them, she magically finds the email exchange. I inform her that I expect my security deposit returned by 8/31/23, 14 days after I vacated (which is required by ** law) and she says that shouldn't be a problem. That was over 2 weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything. I've followed up with them multiple times via email and still nothing.For those who face a similar issue, you can very easily submit a complaint, along with any email evidence you have, to the ** Attorney General using their website. I don't want to link it here in case it's against Yelp policy and they use that to remove my review, but if you ****** it, it's super easy. Even if the AG's office doesn't look into it because of one complaint, if enough of us complain with evidence they will eventually open a formal investigation into this horrible company.
