Was told that I needed to do introductory session before I could start working out at Crunch Fitness. Shortly after starting membership which was also when they just opened. Went through session then was led over to personal trainer computer island. Started going through workout packages. With personal trainer manager sitting there. Then the personal trainer made me go through contract signing. I felt like I didnt have a chance to decide if I wanted a personal trainer and to say yes or no to it. Now Im getting billed $260 every two weeks. Got billed on 2/1/23. Wasnt expecting first bill until 2/16. Then the personal trainer said he owed me sessions for that. Just last week I got billed $520. They said that I missed a couple payments due to card declining. After going in and talking to them about freezing payments. Had to dispute it with bank and bank had me cancel my debit card. When I saw that $520 in my bank account hold items I tried to call Crunch to have them cancel it. But it went through while I was talking to them. That happened with that 2/1 payment too. Tried to have them cancel it because it was coming out at same time as my rent. Crunch fitness front desk staff tells me that the pt are actually not apart of Crunch. But I feel like crunch set me up for this with their $1 first month promotion a few months before the opening day. Would like to get off personal trainer account and get refund and cancel my crunch membership.
